Premier League footballers shooting could have been fatal

Police are investigating the extraordinary incident last Sunday, in which 30-year-old England and Chelsea defender Ashley Cole shot sports science student Tom Cowan in the side.

Mr Cowan a Loughborough sports science student on an internship was treated by the club doctor at the time of the incident.

Firearms expert David Dyson claims that the shooting could have been fatal. stating that Air rifles have killed people.

Cole has been silent on the issue, and is believed to have been disciplined by the club.
